Born in Germany, and precisely near Monaco, but with an Italian heart. Created for closed circuits and for all those who are not afraid by the necessary costs for a unique and special motorbike, Kalex AV1 takes advantage of Teutonic engineering, placed side by side to the two-cylinder V60 Magnesium made by Aprilia (known to be the earth of Aprilia RSV1000 and Tuono 1000R).The choice to opt for the Noale two-cylinder has been made right because of the specifications of the Italian engine.
The V60 Magnesium, thank to the narrowed V, offer a very compact engine compared to the capacityd. The dry carter lubrication allows to place the exhaust port under the engine. While the mechanic of the engine is basically unmodified, the electronic part has been modified by the Germans. The electronic system has been in the care of the Motec M800 that includes the traction control and the launch control. The wheel base is limited to 1,430, with a dinghy inclination of 23° 8′.
The pilot can choose the position of the fork’s fulcrum, rising it by 10mm or lowering it by 5 mm from the base position.he main objective is the weight containment and so the chassis, stops the scale to 9kg, while the consolidated carbon-fiber structure that include the tail, tank, and airbox, is less than 4kg.The dry weightis 155 kg for a maximum power of 139 HP at 9500 rounds and a wrench of 107 Nm at 7750 roundsThe racing equipment continues with a sophisticated suspension system. The work is completed by the Marchesini magnesium wheels and the Brembo Racing’s breaks
